GAURANG BHATI PHOTOGRAPHY

A B O U T M E

The first thing you notice about Gaurang is his easy laugh. As he cracks jokes and exchanges notes in with the tribesman at the PUSHKAR fair, it is difficult to imagine that he is part of an 88 year old photography family spanning four generations. Born in Ajmer, Rajasthan, he prides himself on being a self-taught photographer, describing his style ‘as a mix of conventional and contemporary photography.’

He has dabbled in multiple forms of photography, be it travel, food, fashion etc. and his client roll includes Arvind Mills, Kothak Mahindra Bank Ltd and Mastek Ltd to name a few.

Extremely passionate about pursuing photography as an art form, he is one of the few artists in India to practice Gum-Bichromate, a 19th century photo printing process and has also been a founding member of The Collage Collective, an artist’s collective in Mumbai.

He shares his passion by conducting workshops throughout India on various photography related subjects such as Basics of Photography,Creative Lighting techniques and Ethics in Photography.
